Quick Overview The Oregon Doula Association received a grant from Health Share of Oregon’s SHARE funds for a Doula Awareness Campaign, this includes partnering with community-based doula hubs/organizations and/or Oregon Health Authority (OHA) - approved doula trainings to reduce challenges and barriers through mentorship and by providing financial assistance to doulas attending the three births and postpartum visits required to apply for the Traditional Health Worker (THW) pathway. The objectives of these funds include: 1) fund community-based doula hubs/organizations (CBO) and/or OHA-approved doula trainings providing mentorship to doulas through the THW pathway. 2) create a cohort of 90 doulas to provide mentorship and financial assistance to meet the THW doula requirements. 3) CBOs and training organizations to participate in state collaboration to support THW doula workforce sustainability. All community-based doula hubs/organizations and/or OHA-approved doula trainings in Oregon are welcome to apply.
